Why: Consecration is not sentiment, it is a transfer of ownership. You hand over the day, the body, the work, and the outcomes, and ask her to give them to her Son.
O Mary, my Queen and my Mother, I give myself entirely to you. To show my devotion, I offer you this day my eyes, my ears, my mouth, my heart, and my whole self without reserve. Since I am your own, keep me and guard me as your property and possession. Amen.
